One of our customers pointed out a new program to me and wanted me to check it out. This program called itself a bug fixer. It was a sharp looking program and claimed to fix bugs on the user's computer that he didn't even know existed.
It sounded like a super duper problem solver until I downloaded it and took a closer look. Being a programmer I quickly saw behind its smoke and mirrors. It actually only performed six of the over 1000 cleaning processes which our A1Click Ultra PC Cleaner and RegVac Registry Cleaner do.
Even though it did little compared to our programs, it found 504 problems. How can that be? My computer was clean. The program did not show any details about the results but wanted $30 before it would clean them. I'll never know for sure about those results, but I suspect that they were fabricated and that the true number of problems was 0.
There are many shady developers out there that just want to make a quick buck. I doubt this bug fixer program will even be around in a year.
This provides a good lesson to anyone. Be sure to purchase software from a trusted developer and don't buy a program just because it looks nice.
We have been in the software business since 1996 and are continually improving our programs. You will not hear hype and lies from us. Our programs may not look that good on the surface, but under the hood they are super. When you purchase our programs, all future updates are free.
If you haven't tried RegVac Registry Cleaner and A1Click Ultra PC Cleaner, try them today.

RSS is an abbreviation that has evolved into the following, depending on their versions:
• RDF Site Summary (also known as RSS 0.9; the first version of RSS)
• Rich Site Summary (also known as RSS 0.91; a prototype)
• Really Simple Syndication (also known as RSS 2.0)
Today, RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication', and it has the following 7 existing formats or versions:
• 0.90
• 0.91
• 0.92
• 0.93
• 0.94
• 1.0
• 2.0
RSS tools refer to a group of file formats that are designed to share headlines and other web content (this may be a summary or simply 1 to 2 lines of the article), links to the full versions of the content (the full article or post), and even file attachments such as multimedia files. All of these data is delivered in the form of an XML file (XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language), which has the following common names:
• RSS feed
• Webfeed
• RSS stream
• RSS channel
They are typically shown on web pages as an orange rectangle that usually has the letters XML or RSS in it.
RSS feeds can be used to deliver any kind of information. Some of these 'feeds' include:
• Blogs feed - each blog entry is summarized as a feed item. This makes blog posts easier to scan, enabling 'visitors' to zoom in on their items of interest.
• Article feed - this alerts readers whenever there are new articles and web contents available.
• Forum feed - this allows users to receive forum posts and latest discussion topics.
• Schedule feed - this allows users (such as schools, clubs, and other organizations) to broadcast events and announce schedule changes or meeting agendas.
• Discounts or Special feed - this is used to enable users (such as retail and online stores) to 'deliver' latest specials and discounted offers.
• Ego or News Monitoring - this enables users to receive 'filtered' headlines or news that are based on a specific phrase or keyword.
• Industry-specific feed - used by technical professionals in order to market, promote, or communicate with current (and prospective) customers and clients within their specific industries.
RSS feeds enable people to track numerous blogs and news sources at the same time. To produce an RSS feed, all you need is the content or the article that you want to publicize and a validated RSS text file. Once your text file is registered at various aggregators (or 'news readers'), any external site can then capture and display your RSS feed, automatically updating them whenever you update your RSS file.
RSS tools are useful for sites that add or modify their contents on a regular basis. They are especially used for 'web syndication' or activities that involve regular updates and/or publications, such as the following:
• News websites - as used by major news organizations such as Reuters, CNN, and the BBC.
• Marketing
• Bug reports
• Personal weblogs
There are many benefits to using RSS feeds. Aside from being a great supplemental communication method that streamlines the communication needs of various sectors, RSS tools and feeds can also have tremendous benefits in your business, particularly in the field of internet marketing.
RSS tools and feeds provide Internet users with a free (or cheap) and easy advertising or online marketing opportunity for their businesses. Below are some of the RSS features that can help make your internet marketing strategies more effective.
1. Ease in content distribution services. With RSS, your business can be captured and displayed by virtually any external site, giving you an easy way to 'spread out' and advertise them.
2. Ease in regular content updates. With RSS, web contents concerning your business can now be automatically updated on a daily (and even hourly) basis. Internet users will be able to experience 'real time' updates as information in your own file (such as new products and other business-related releases) is changed and modified simultaneously with that of the RSS feeds that people are subscribed to.
3. Custom-made content services. With RSS, visitors can have personalized content services, allowing them total control of the flow and type of information that they receive. Depending on their interests and needs, visitors can subscribe to only those contents that they are looking for (such as real estate or job listings).
4. Increase in (and targeted) traffic. With RSS, traffic will be directed to your site as readers of your content summary (or 1 to 2 lines of your article) who find them interesting are 'forced' to click on a link back to your site.
These are just several of the many things that you can do with RSS. The possibilities are endless, and they are all aimed at providing you with an effective internet marketing strategy for your business.

Windows XP Slow Boot - Fix This Problem Now! by Kelly Purden
0 comments Posted by The Broken Heart Guru at 12:38 PMOne of the annoying problems with our computer life is the Windows XP slow boot. It really gets into the nerve especially when you have an important meeting and you are already late but still, you find yourself in front of the computer screen, staring blankly at the message- 'please wait while the Windows shuts down'. And you wonder how many meetings will you unable to attend just because of this irritating problem?
Unsystematic files. Unnecessary software. Unused network drives. Too many programs. Virus and spyware. These are the common reasons why your computer performs slower than before. You will know if you have Windows XP slow boot if your personal computer shuts down slow, hangs during shutdown or reboots instead of shutdown. A lot of people do not make any effort solving these problem because they get too intimidated and think that it needs the help of an expert to fix Windows XP slow boot conditions.
Actually, you can manually cure your problem with Windows XP slow boot. Here are some suggestions that you might find helpful: First, remove the programs from the startup that you think is unnecessary. Either you go to the Startup menu, delete them and make sure that the Preferences settings in every program, keeps them from booting up.
Remove spyware and adware. Make sure that you run a full adware and spyware scan if the computer is still running slow during booting. Another helpful tip is to run a virus scan. This is advantageous in the end to boot time. Use disk defragmentor to defragment the computer. Make the system do a boot defragment. This will put boot files close to one another on the hard disk when all the boot files are arranged closely, the system will start faster. This is the simple way to speed up Windows XP slow boot. You can find this in the accessories, in the system tools area. You can also use programs like registry mechanic to optimize your registry. Search the internet on where you can download this program. After doing these and you still have troubles in Windows XP slow boot, it is recommended that you take a back up and reformat the computer.
Moreover, these information might enlighten you with your Windows XP slow boot problem. First, open Windows Task Manager. If your computer was running smooth at one time, the problem must be inside the Operating System. All the resources being used by your computer is shown in the Windows Task Manager. To do this, just hold down Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Then, select 'Open Task Manager'.
Then check the processes. Once the Task Manager is opened, click the Processes tab. Examine which of the processes are using the most resources by scrolling down. You may find that there are programs that are infected by a virus or a spyware, which you have installed without being aware of it.
Close the program that is stealing your resources. Close the programs that are using all your computer's resources. But be careful not to close the program by clicking the 'end processes' option in the Task Manager because this will just make the computer stable. If you find some unfamiliar entries in the Task Manager that you find strange, this is a possibility that there is a virus present.
Look in the System Tray if you cannot find a program that is eating your resources. The system tray is located in the lower right hand corner of the computer screen. When you install a new program, this sets up a fast start option in the system tray. Right click the icons in the system tray and turn them offLabels: Articles

0 comments Posted by The Broken Heart Guru at 12:36 PMThe stage is set to welcome the latest Web browser by search giant Google named "Chrome". It is a novel open source web browser with some advanced features and its source code is released under a BSD license. It possesses some astounding features of security, speed and stability compared to widely accepted existing browsers like Internet Explorer 8.0, Firefox 3.0, Opera 9.5 etc.
Chrome is the recent launch by the company and is on the roller coaster ride of popularity. Its acceptance quo can be well analysed from the fact that with in 24 hours of its first public launch the web browser has trapped 1% of market share. This feature will acknowledge you with some of the exclusive features of the web browser - Chrome.
Privacy mode â€"Incognito: Chrome possesses a new privacy mode coined as Incognito, which allows user to create a window where nothing that occurs in that window is ever logged on your computer. It is really good for the security point of view because no one can find any logged file for recently visited web sites. This can be useful on shared computers and when viewing sensitive data through the Web browser.
Instant Bookmarking: Chrome makes bookmarking an easy job for the users. Bookmarks along with other Chrome browser settings can be saved and retrieved in the Google cloud. This allows for anytime and anywhere access to your personal settings be it privacy, bookmarks, and history.

Support for Web applications: One of the major characteristic of the web browser is its support for the web applications. The current applications include Google Docs, Salesforce.com, and Outlook Web Access. Chrome makes it easier to make those applications feel more like desktop apps.
The web browser offers you simple procedure to create Desktop, Start menu, Quick Launch icons etc which results to quick internet access to many applications.
Own Task manager: Chrome has its own Task Manager that illustrates you how much memory and CPU usage each tab and plug-in is using. Users can easily open it by using shortcut key Shift + Esc and can easily get into Task Manager to shut down locked applications. This distinctive feature makes sure that a bad process in one tab can’t destroy the whole browser session.
Single box for search, address, and history: The Chrome has united search, address and history options by offering a single input box. This feature assist you to search a specific page more efficiently and accurate to the requirement. For example if you type “technology†in the search box and it will suggest the technology.com home page as well as other recently visited technology pages. At the conclusive note, I can say that this new launch by Google is an excellent product that IT users will really like to use.

Internet Explorer has been in a features arms race with Firefox for a while. More and more people are switching to Firefox because of its speed and stability. A big reason people still use Internet Explorer is it is the first browser that a new user will see so they become familiar with it.. If Internet Explorer did not ship with Windows it would not have the amount of users it does.
If that new user wants to use Internet Explorer but wants to give their browsing a speed boost. Here are a few tips.
If you Don't Need a Proxy Don't Use One.
A proxy server is used if you have a slow connection. If you have a high speed connection you usually don't need it. Here is how you remove it. Go to tools and select Internet Options. In the Internet Options click on the Connections tab and press the LAN settings. Just remove all of the check marks, click on OK.
Get Rid of 3rd Party Toolbars
Some software companies have learned that there is money to be made by installing their software branded toolbar. The problem with these toolbars is when installed they take up bandwidth and computer resources while you browse the internet. To remove the toolbars you don't need, just identify the toolbar and remove it for add/remove programs. If it is not listed in add/remove programs it may be spyware. You will then need to scan your computer with your favorite spyware/malware software.
Increase the Amount of Connections Internet Explorer uses.
By default Internet Explorer only uses 10 simultaneous connections to download content from a webpage. Here is how you can increase the amount of connections. Open notepad and paste the code below in it.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings] “MaxConnectionsPerServerâ€=dword:00000020 “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Serverâ€=dword:0000020
Save the file by clicking save as, change Save as type to All Files, name the file speedup.reg.
So there you have it. With these few changes you can really change the performance of Internet Explorer. If you want a completely better experience give Firefox a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Speed up Bittorrent Downloads by Mike Juicytek
0 comments Posted by The Broken Heart Guru at 12:33 PMBittorrent is the best way to download large files over the internet. The benefit is for both distributers and downloader’s. Distributers can deliver their content through bittorrent at high speeds at a low cost. For downloader’s, bittorrent is a flexible and fast way to get what you want. There are so many variables that determine how fast your download will be. In this guide we will show you how to get things moving as fast as possible. Please note that tuning your bittorrent speed is a trial and error process.
Understand what your ISP has to Offer
A lot of people don’t know that your internet service provider has more that is involved with your connection than is advertised. There is more that everyone should know about their “High Speed†connection. First off does your ISP throttle certain types of bandwidth? Your ISP may be trying to conserve bandwidth by slowing down bandwidth intensive applications. There are some ways around connection throttling but the best way to not be throttled is to switch to a different ISP. Second find out how much your ISP will allow you to download. Some ISP’s have a limit. Usually a download cap will be 100GB to 250GB. Both of these measures are in place to discourage software piracy and conserve bandwidth for other services.
Understand What Your Router Can Do
Have you ever wondered why your internet connection will drop when you are downloading using bittorrent over a home network? Bittorrent works by making connections with several peers at once so you can download without using up all of the bandwith of one person. With that said when you use bittorrent, your computer will make a lot of connections to the internet. When you make so many connections through your router. Your router will not be able to process all of the requests and crash. Most routers have a limit as to how many connections it can handle. Consult your vendor for the information on what your router can handle. When purchasing a new router find out how many connections it can handle. With that information, set your bittorrent client with the proper maximum number of connections.
Know What Your Operating System Can Do
Most new operating systems are really efficient in the networking department. When working with an older operating system like Windows XP you may need to make some changes to how Windows XP manages network traffic. Consult websites like www.broadbandreports.com to learn how to increase the number of connections your operating system will allow. (Windows XP will only allow 10 at a time) If you have DSL changing the operating systems MTU settings will make a difference.
Choose the Right Torrent Client
Different clients have different features. You want a client that is full of features, is efficient and uses little resources. I recommend Utorrent for Windows and Azureus for all other platforms. After installing your bittorrent client, be sure to limit your upload speed to less than half of what your internet connection can upload. Also limit the number of connections to the amount that your router can work with.
Find the Right Torrent Files
Bittorrent works better when more people are downloading the same thing you are. Look for torrents with a high number of seeds and peers. A seed is a person who had downloaded the item and stays connected to share. Peers are people who are downloading and sharing.
That’s it. There is so much to learn about bittorrent. Achieving the best possible connection is really a trial and error process. Hopefully this article gives you a good start.

Firefox is a great browser. It is the first to give Internet Explorer a run for its money. According to W3Schools, Firefox has over 40 percent of the browser market. This is due in part to its usability, flexibility and speed. Although Firefox is a fast browser there are ways to make it even faster. We will show you several ways to maximize Firefox’s performance.
Disable History Cache
Every time you visit a page Firefox saves the page so when you press the back button the page will display right away. To disable this type “about:config†in the address bar. Do a search for browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers. Double-click on browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers and change the -1 to 0. Remember that this will slow down how fast pages come up when you press the back button.
Only Keep the Extensions You Need
When you have a lot of extensions in Firefox your computer needs to load the extensions to memory for when needed. The fore extensions you have, the more Firefox becomes. Go to Tools the Add-ons. Remove the extensions that you are not using. There is a possibility that one extension is causing the problem. To see if this is the case, start Firefox in safe mode. Go to the run command in Windows and type “firefox.exe "safe-modeâ€. Once you click on OK, Firefox will start without skins or extensions.
Change the Number of Connections
The more connections you have going out for information the faster the page will load. To increase the amount of connections Firefox uses type “about:config†in the address bar. Find and change the following:
* content.interrupt.parsing - true * content.max.tokenizing.time - 2250000 * content.notify.interval - 750000 * content.notify.ontimer - true * content.switch.threshold - 750000 * nglayout.initialpaint.delay - 0 * network.http.max-connections - 48 * network.http.max-connections-per-server - 16 * network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy - 16 * network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server - 8 * browser.cache.memory.capacity - 65536
When done restart Firefox and check out the difference.
That’s it for this one. With these three tips, Firefox should lean and built for speed. There is a lot more you can do to tweak Firefox. These are a few of the big ones.

The Benefits Of Using A Microsoft Registry Cleaner by Wesley Atkins
0 comments Posted by The Broken Heart Guru at 12:31 PMThe registry can become very cluttered with unneeded files, programs and other data due to the large number of programs that have been loaded on to the computer over time. As this number builds up, the effect on the windows registry compounds, causing a slow computer.
The windows registry plays a very important job in the running of your computer. For example, it stores all the configuration data and software settings for the programs that you use on a regular basis.
All of this means that the windows registry has a very important role in the speed and processing power of the computer. Using a Microsoft registry cleaner will ensure that you get maximum performance from your PC over the longest time period possible.
If you use a Microsoft registry cleaner then you will be able to perform a number of procedures that allow your registry to be kept in the best possible condition.
A Microsoft registry cleaner gives you many options so that scanning the registry for unwanted, invalid and malicious data is very easy. Many other types of registry cleaners do not offer such a wide range of in-depth analysis tools.
Also, a Microsoft registry cleaner helps you to detect and then eliminate any embedded keys that have been placed inside the registry without your consent. For example, you can remove adware, spyware and viruses once they are detected. Many of these applications go undetected for months.
A Microsoft registry cleaner will allow you to be selective about the backup options you can use. For instance, you can decide on the level of backup you want to use along with the time options for restoring the registry (if you decide to do this).
Microsoft registry cleaners also give you in-depth analysis of the data once the search has been completed. You will see all the returned data inside one window so that you can automatically delete any errors and manually search through each error in case there are some that you want to repair.
This also allows you to see possible weak points in your computer security and prevent the same problems again next time. You can also plan and schedule future registry cleaner scans together with repair options.
Using this simple tool will ensure that the process is completed without you having to remember each time.
Because of the huge number of unsolicited freeware and spyware programs on the Internet, it is very important to have a measure in place to protect your computer. Microsoft registry cleaners are the very best options available to clean your registry and also improve your overall computer speed.

Troubleshooting Windows XP Blue Screens of Death by Kevin Adams
12 comments Posted by The Broken Heart Guru at 12:28 PMSTOP errors and they’re associated error codes (i.e. 0x0000001E) most commonly show up during Windows boot. They usually indicate a corrupt file system or incompatibility with a particular piece of hardware you have installed. These errors are a very serious and can render your computer unbootable.
What causes STOP errors and Blue Screens of Death?
If you have recently installed a new piece of hardware into your computer such as a new video or sound card, USB or controller card, or even new RAM chips, you may encounter a Blue Screen and STOP error.
Additionally, severe damage or corruption to your Windows installation or system registry can result in Blue Screens of Death and STOP errors.
Less often, damaged or dying hardware such as your CPU processor, RAM memory, or hard drive can return Blue Screens and STOP errors. What do STOP Error Codes Mean?
Each STOP error code has a specific meaning. That is, it has a specific code tied to it that pretty much only Windows programmers understand. They descriptors may look something like this:
Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Stop 0x0000001E or KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Stop 0x0000002E or DATA_BUS_ERROR
As you can see, without a Computer Science degree, it’s tough to figure out what actions to take as a result of the descriptions attached to the various STOP error codes. How to manually fix STOP errors and Blue Screens of Death:
In the case of hardware that causes Blue Screens of death and STOP errors, safely removing any recently installed hardware may relieve the error.
For Windows or file system-related STOP errors and Blue Screens, the following steps can help:
* Restart Windows (if your computer is frozen you may need to do this via pressing and holding down the power button to manually shut the computer down, then pressing it again to restart.)
* As Windows is restarting, continually tap the “F8†button until a boot menu appears with a number of options you can use your arrow keys to navigate to.
* Select “Last Known Good Configurationâ€
Windows will hopefully restart with the last configuration of settings that worked. This may resolve the Blue Screen and STOP errors in some cases.
You can also try using a free system repair utility like CCleaner to take a shot at repairing any file system issues which may be causing the blue screens.

How To Safely Remove Unwanted सॉफ्टवेर by Temp IT Guy
1 comments Posted by The Broken Heart Guru at 11:34 AMNow, most of the time, the fastest way to get rid of them is to go straight to the Add/Remove Programs link under Control Panel, select the program you like to terminate and just click the 'Remove' button, and voila! That pesky hard-disk space waster is gone... Right?
Well, not quite. You see, these days, when a software is installed, there are literally tens to hundreds of files being strewn everywhere, from the original specified installation folder, settings folders and even the registry area. So the basic uninstall feature with your OS will remove most of these files, but will almost always miss quite a handful too. Worst of all would be those programs that doesn't have a straight-forward uninstall feature and forces you to go through a maze in order to get it off your system.
That's why it is always much better to search for a reliable program that caters specifically at this task of uninstalling programs ... safely and of course, quickly too.
One of the easiest way to do so would be to go to you favorite search engine and just type Uninstaller. Problem with that is that there are thousands of these programs out there. Some are good, some not so good. So it does take a lot of trial and error to find the one that works for you. Which also means you will be adding even more unwanted programs into your system.
Things to look out for when looking for a good uninstaller:
- Make sure the file size ain't too big. It's suppose to take out trash, not add more.
- Has an easy to use and understand interface. Too much flashy stuff just makes things complicated.
- Shows you the important details. Good to know what you are taking out, just in case.
One last thing. Whenever you are about to uninstall a software, make sure it is not running anymore / you have already closed the program. There are occasions where if you uninstall a software while it is running, it may cause the uninstaller to miss out on some files.
To get started, I recommend you try Perfect Uninstaller! since they have a free demo.
Here's to a cleaner and smoother system. Cheers.
